David Walker founded Ardmore in 1984, working from a small cabin with just one client. Today, Ardmore has offices outside of London and in New York City. In 2018, Ardmore was purchased by global education group, Cognita, which has further expanded Ardmore’s global footprint.
Despite the growth and success Ardmore has achieved over the years, we are proud to have maintained our identity as a closely-knit family business. More importantly, we are proud of the reputation we have earned for delivering high-quality courses for juniors.
With students from over 30 different countries spread across all our centres, Ardmore offers the opportunity to learn and practice English and to develop new international friendships.
Our commitment to safeguarding guides all aspects of daily life at the centres. Our full program, combined with regular attendance checks, makes sure that students are always engaged and accounted for.
Additionally, between our dedicated welfare staff and our student feedback forms, we make sure that students are healthy, happy and enjoying their time with Ardmore.

Ardmore has Head Offices in the UK and USA with local, 24/7 emergency numbers during all courses. The majority of our Head Office staff has 5-20 years of experience with Ardmore.

Customised academic materials
Students are provided with placement tests, exit tests (progression assessed), and workbooks to use and take home with them at the end of the course. All content is created by educational specialists for the Ardmore program.

We believe that a diverse nationality mix is the key to practising English outside the classroom. In 2019, we welcomed 12,000+ students from over 50 countries.
